A New Day In America

NWPC StaffUncategorized

Today is a day of new beginnings.

As Joe Biden is sworn in as our 46th President and we breathe a sigh of relief in recognition that the nightmare of the last four years is behind us, let’s take the time to rejoice in our Madame Vice President.  Kamala Harris, who has the distinction of being the first on many levels throughout her career, makes history as the first woman and woman of color and the first South Asian woman to serve as Vice President.  Vice President Harris will have a pivotal role as she becomes the deciding vote in the U.S. Senate, another first.

The NWPC is committed to helping women who want to serve this new administration.  The 2021 Coalition for Women’s Appointments seeks to recruit and recommend a diverse group of qualified women for Tier II positions in the new Biden-Harris administration: including the inclusion of historically underrepresented groups including women of color, LGBTQ+, and disabilities.

Our hope, through the Coalition for Women’s Appointments, is that we provide a talent bank of women for this administration, to assist in building the infrastructure of dedicated diverse professionals committed to public service.
