Remembering Betty
On May 17, 2006, NWPC along with Sewall-Belmont House & Museum, NOW, Feminist Majority Foundation, and National Coalition of Women's Organizations hosted a memorial service for Betty Friedan. Betty died on her 85th birthday, February 4, 2006. The reception took place at the Sewall-Belmont House and speakers relayed stories and memories of Betty, Betty's impact on thier individual lives and society, and urged us to continue Betty's legacy by fighting for women's equality.Adriana Bourgoin
