Remembering Betty
On May 17, 2006, NWPC along with Sewall-Belmont House & Museum, NOW, Feminist Majority Foundation, and National Coalition of Women's Organizations hosted a memorial service for Betty Friedan. Betty died on her 85th birthday, February 4, 2006. The reception took place at the Sewall-Belmont House and speakers relayed stories and memories of Betty, Betty's impact on thier individual lives and society, and urged us to continue Betty's legacy by fighting for women's equality.<< Previous Next > >
